Hestra's Army Leather Heli Ski was originally created for ski guides in western Canada who needed a reliable and warm ski glove for long, cold days in the snow. This women's mitten has a narrower cut to fit women's narrower hands. Like all mitten versions, it provides plenty of space for the fingers, making it warmer than the equivalent glove. The outer glove is sewn in a hardwearing, weather-resistant combination of goatskin leather and 3-layer polyamide fabric. A range of smart functions come in handy when you can't head indoors to warm up that often. For example, the liner is easy to remove and dry, or replace with a thinner inner glove when you're being more active and hiking uphill. In powder snow, the long cuff with snowlock and wrist adjustment keep the snow on the outside and the warmth on the inside. Hestra’s heated liner turns ski gloves with a removable liner into heated gloves. Perfect for skiers and others who are prone to cold hands. Heated panels keep hands comfortably warm* in cold winter weather. Made in flexible polyamide fabric so it easily slips into place inside the outer glove. A microfleece lining and G-Loft synthetic insulation provide comfortable initial heat. Specially designed to fit the Hestra’s Army Leather Heli Ski Mitt, it also works in many of Hestra’s other mittens with a high cuff and a detachable liner. The temperature adjusts in three steps via an easily accessible control on the cuff. HEATING TIME: Low: 8–10 hours, Medium: 4–5 hours, High: 2–2.5 hours. *NOTE: At highest power, the heat in the panels is close to body temperature, supporting the hand’s own warmth – this means they won’t feel “hot” against the skin. This additional heat combined with the insulation in the glove helps to keep fingers warm. The right size is important to ensure the heated panels work properly. Too big a glove will mean a greater distance between the heated panels and the fingers, so reducing the heating capacity.
